Friday, Jan 3 6 to 9 pm and Saturday, Jan 4 1 to 4 pm
$100-200 pay what you can

*** Location change: Please note this event is not at the Living Room. ***
It will take place at Soma Yoga Studio, 1423 NW 70th St. Seattle, WA 98117

Description

In this workshop, we will use elements from Psychodrama, Theatre of the Oppressed, Playback Theatre, and Authentic Movement as means to center the body as we engage in questions of justice and equity. The workshop will be highly experiential.

Participants will practice:
  • Attuning to self and others through well-paced physical concretization of abstract concepts related to social justice.
  • Balancing playfulness, fierceness, respect, and purpose by noticing what is ready to emerge in a group.

Leticia Nieto

I am a certified trainer in Psychodrama and Playback Theatre. My book Beyond Inclusion, Beyond Empowerment offers a framework for facilitating organic and attuned development of anti-oppressive consciousness. I have been teaching these elements since 1980.

Please note

This is not two separate events, but one, two-part workshop. Participants are encouraged to attend both Friday and Saturday, and when you register, you are registering for both times.

Contribution

A portion of proceeds from this event will go toward supporting Form A-Z de Vida, a psychodrama school in Mexico City that Leticia Nieto has worked with for many years. We are honored to be able to support their liberatory, healing and revolutionary work.
